Low point of the year…there were a few. I would say this was another full year that my Mom was fighting cancer. Anytime for me spent in the hospital or worrying about treatments, surgery, and all that follows was a low point. The good news is as of today (she’ll get re-tested every 3 months) she’s cancer free. Looking forward to the holidays!
This low point comes to mind: Loneliness and anguish in mid-March. A cheap hotel room in Panajachel, Guatemala. Sobbing over a relationship drama that turned out to be all in my head and, later, over an abandonment that was all too real.

Here’s one thing I have learned: the grass is never greener.
You don’t need any presents this Christmas.
Presence in the moment — no matter if it’s a dukkha moment or a sukha moment — is the greatest gift of all.
